One of the big selling points of the Google Pixel Buds is the real-time translation feature powered by Google Translate. Unfortunately, the feature has only been available on the Pixel Buds when paired with a Pixel phone, not to mention the fact that the Pixel Buds didn’t sell well so not many people got to experience this feature.
Now Google is introducing the feature to all Google Assistant-enabled headphones without the phone-specific limitation. A support page now has a section about the new support.
If you own a pair of Bose QC35, Sony WH-1000XM2 or XM3, or any of the other supported headphones, give this feature a shot by saying “Hey Google, help me speak ____.” It should come in use now that more people have access to the feature!
