Niagara Launcher Offers Quick App Access & Simple UI

A new launcher has appeared on the Google Play Store, and it’s called ‘Niagara Launcher’. That being said, it’s worth noting that this app is currently in ‘Unreleased’ state, which essentially means that it’s not completely stable, but you can test it out if you want, as it is available to everyone. Niagara Launcher is a bit different to most launchers out there, as it takes a considerably different approach compared to traditional launchers.

Now, the man behind this launcher is named Peter Huber, and he claims that this launcher will make it possible to find and open apps quicker than with regular launcher, while it will also make it possible to you to use your phone with one hand due to the design of the app itself. This app is really simple, once you download it, and open it, you will be required to select your favorite applications. Niagara Launcher recommends you do not select more than eight apps in order to keep your home screen’s layout neatly organized. Once you do that, and grant some permissions to the app, you will see what this launcher’s home screen looks like. Your favorite apps are shown on the left, while you will find the whole alphabet on the right, so that you can quickly find and access applications. If you tap ‘D’, for example, all the apps that you’ve installed that start with a letter ‘D’ will be shown to you, same goes for every other letter.

Now, you’ll notice that a star icon is included on the top of all those letters, and if you tap that, you’ll be able to see all the apps you’ve favorited. Time and date are also displayed on the home screen, while a search bar will appear at the top when you start messing around with the bar on the right, just so you can manually search for apps, using your keyboard, if you want. Notification dots are included here, while you can also hide applications that you do not use. Icon packs are supported by this app, and there are a couple of additional options included, but that’s pretty much it.
