The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 does not offer you a chance to remap its physical Bixby button, which is located on the right-hand side of the phone’s body, but you can remap it using a third-party app. An app called ‘bxActions’ has been available in the Play Store for a while now, and it allowed users to remap the Galaxy S9’s Bixby button, for example, well, now it allows the Galaxy Note 9 users to do the same.
Using this application, you can remap the Galaxy Note 9’s Bixby buttons to more than 30 actions other than opening Bixby, and that includes opening Google Assistant, of course, as that seems to be where most users go. Now, it seems like not all functions that are available for the Galaxy S9, S8, and a number of other devices are available for the Galaxy Note 9, as the Galaxy Note 9 comes with Bixby 2.0. The company basically prevents you to disable the Bixby button, even using a third-party app, which is not the case with Bixby 1.0. Luckily, you can still remap that button thanks to this application, just in case you don’t use Samsung’s Bixby voice assistant.
This application is currently holding a 4.2-star rating in the Play Store, and it has been downloaded over one million times thus far. In-app purchases are available inside bxActions, but the app is basically free to use, even though there’s a ‘Pro’ (paid) version available. The Galaxy Note 9, as most of you know, had been introduced earlier this month, and the device is already available for purchase, it has been for a short while now. Some of you may like the company’s Bixby voice assistant, but quite a few people don’t use it and would gladly remap it, at least based on Internet reactions, and this app allows you to do that. If you’d like to try it out, a link is included down below.
