According to Google, 20 million people visit their account page on a daily basis. To make sure that the visit there is worthwhile and helpful, the company is updating the page to be more transparent and offer easier controls.
Google says that the new Google Account is available now for Android users. It will be rolling out to a wider audience on the web and on iOS “later this year”. The changes are designed to make everything a bit easier to find, especially when it comes to security and privacy, which should be more prominent now.
There is a new search bar at the top of the page, too, so if you don’t know exactly what it is you’re looking for, you’ll be able to type in a single word or a few to help you find it. And considering this is a page that shows your purchase history, payment methods, subscriptions, devices on your account, and more, it should be as quick and easy as possible to find something you need.
There is also a new page specifically designed to show a streamlined view of your privacy and security checkup. There will be more prominent notices in place, too, so if something catches Google’s attention, you’ll be made aware of it in a new, bold and more obvious way.
