Huawei’s very own Android Go smartphone, the Huawei Y3 (2018), has just surfaced on the Huawei Ghana and Huawei Thailand websites, which pretty much confirms the phone’s arrival. We still do not know how much will the phone cost, but these two listings do share plenty of info when it comes to the Huawei Y3 (2018), including its design, and its spec sheet. Let’s talk about the design first, shall we.
The Huawei Y3 (2018) sports a single camera on the back, which is flanked by an LED flash and a loudspeaker. The company’s branding is present on the back of the Huawei Y3 (2018), while it also sits below the phone’s display. All the physical keys are included on the right-hand side of the Huawei Y3 (2018), while the phone’s display does not sport rounded corners. There are thin black bars surrounding the display of this smartphone, while its back side is slightly curved. The device is listed in Gold, Gray, and White color variants, while it is specifically mentioned on the site that this is an Android Go smartphone, which ships with Android Go version of Android Oreo. For those of you who do not know, this essentially means that the phone ships with a light version of Android that Google introduced for phones that have 1GB or less RAM, and that also means that various light Google apps come pre-installed as well, like Google Maps Go, YouTube Go, and so on.
Huawei mentions that the Huawei Y3 (2018) features a 5-inch display with a resolution of 854 x 480. The phone will ship with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage, while the phone is fueled by the MediaTek MT6737M 64-bit quad-core processor. This smartphone supports 4G LTE connectivity, both FDD-LTE, and TDD-LTE, while Bluetooth 4.0 is included in the package as well. An 8-megapixel camera sits on the back of this phone, while you will find a 2-megapixel camera on its front side. A 2,280mAh battery is also included in this package, while the device measures 145.1 x 73.7 x 9.45mm, and it weighs 180 grams. Chances are this smartphone will become available in the near future as it’s already listed on the company’s official websites, so we’ll probably find out how much it costs in the near future, but one thing is for sure, it will be extremely affordable. We’ve actually leaked an image of the Huawei Y7 2018 not long ago, in case you’re like to check that out.
