The South by Southwest Festivals will be returning this spring! This March 2018 music, film and comedy festival in Austin TX will be bringing a variety of acts and entertainment the area.
SXSW Festivals Schedule and Events
The SXSW festivals will run from March 9-18. SXSW includes five total festivals: Interactive, Film, Music, Comedy and Gaming. The Interactive Festival will run from March 9-13, Film will run from March 9-17, Music from March 12-18, Comedy from March 9-17 and Gaming from March 15-17.

The SXSW Festival began in 1986 as a way to support local creative arts and music. The first South By Southwest Festival was a success, and the Festival has continued to grow to what it has become today.
A variety of acts, films and conferences will be showcased at SXSW 2018.
The Interactive Festival will include sessions and presentations on subjects like Brands & Marketing, Design, Code & Programming, Government, Health & Wellness, Intelligent Future, Style and Workplace.
The film portion of the Festival will showcase a variety of films. Films headlining the festival include “A Quiet Place,” “Blockers,” “Boundaries,” “PARADOX,” “Final Portrait” and “Isle of Dogs.” Over 85 films will be making their debut at the festival.
The SXSW Music Festival is spread throughout the city of Austin. Bands perform at bars, clubs, parks, churches, hotels and more throughout the city. The Music Festival will showcase artists from over 60 countries.
The Comedy portion of the SXSW Festival will include stand-up, improv, sketch, podcast and panel formats. The lineup will include a wide variety of established stars and up and coming acts. Acts from this year’s lineup include Rachel Bloom, Jim Gaffigan, Bill Hader, Nick Offerman, Ron White, Roy Wood Jr. and more.
The SWSW Gaming Expo will include tournaments, awards, exhibits, panels, hands-on play opportunities and more.
