The Huawei P20 and P20 Plus are Huawei’s upcoming flagship handsets (though they were referred to as the Huawei P11 and P11 Plus as well), and Roland Quandt has just released some new info regarding those two devices, and also the Huawei P20 Lite. The Huawei P20 is codenamed ‘Emily’, and it will arrive in Ceramic Black and Twilight color variants. The Huawei P20 Plus carries the ‘Charlotte’ codename, and it will become available in Ceramic Black and Twilight colors as well. The Huawei P20 Lite, on the other hand, is codenamed ‘Anne’, and it will arrive in Midnight Black, Klein Blue, and Sakura Pink colors.
That is more or less all the info that Mr. Quandt shared this time around, so we have more info regarding the Huawei P20 color variants. Now, interestingly enough, Mr. Quandt claims that the company’s upcoming devices will carry the ‘P20’ naming, while a number of other sources said that Huawei opted for the ‘P11’ name, while the company also trademarked the Huawei P11 naming in a number of countries quite recently. Having said that, the Huawei P20 name was also trademarked in mid-2017, so who knows what is Huawei planning. The Huawei P20 devices almost certainly will not arrive at this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, as Huawei will be looking to avoid clashing with the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus, and release the Huawei P20 devices at a later date, in March or April maybe.
The Huawei P20 and P20 Plus will probably launch at the same time, as their predecessors did, while the Huawei P20 Lite will arrive at a later date, if Huawei plans to stick to its usual release schedule, of course. The Huawei P20 and P20 Plus will be fueled by the Kirin 970 64-bit octa-core processor, which is Huawei’s most powerful processor to date. That chip fuels the Huawei Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro flagship phablets, in case you were wondering. The Huawei P20 and P20 Plus will also ship with Leica’s lenses, and they could actually arrive with a triple camera setup on the back, though that’s only a rumor for now. The Huawei P20 Plus will sport a larger display than the Huawei P20, and both devices will probably ship with really thin bezels.
