Elephone has been teasing its upcoming handset, the Elephone S9, for quite some time now, and the company has just released a new render for this smartphone. If you take a look at the provided image, you’ll get to see a Gray variant of the Elephone S9. As you can see, this phone will be made out of metal and glass, and this phone seems to be extremely shinny, at least based on the provided render. The company refers to the back side of this phone as the ‘Gray Lumia Glass’, and even though we still do not know when will Elephone announce this handset, we do have quite some info that the company previously released, which we’ll talk more about as soon as we take a closer look at the device itself, read on.
If this render is accurate, the Elephone S9 will resemble the Galaxy S8 quite a bit. This handset sports basically no bezel on the sides, while its top and bottom bezels are quite thin. The phone’s display is curved, and that’s something that Elephone already confirmed, along with confirming that the device will ship with an AMOLED display. Two cameras will be included on the back of this smartphone, right above a fingerprint scanner. A dual-LED, dual-tone flash is placed next to the phone’s main cameras, and a Type-C USB port is located at the bottom of the device, it lies in-between the Elephone S9’s speaker grills. The power / lock, volume up and volume down buttons are included on the right-hand side of the phone, while a SIM card tray sits on the left side of this smartphone.
The company had shared an image of the Red Elephone S9 at the end of last month, and it was also confirmed that we’ll see two variants of the phone, the Elephone S9, and Elephone S9 Pro. The Elephone S9 will be fueled by the Snapdragon 660 64-bit octa-core processor, and a flexible OLED panel will be included on both devices, and we’re looking at an 18:9 display aspect ratio here. The Elephone S9 Pro will offer wireless charging, Qi standard will be utilized by Elephone, and Android 8.0 Oreo will come pre-installed on both the Elephone S9 and Elephone S9 Pro.
