2018 Honda Accord Hybrid Power System
The 2018 version of the Accord Hybrid will be powered by the third generation of Honda’s two-motor hybrid system. The system utilizes a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine paired with two electric motors. The engine produces 143 horsepower and 129 pound-feet of torque. The total net power number for the entire hybrid system is rated at 212 horsepower. The hybrid power system operates without the need for a conventional automatic transmission.

The intelligent power unit (IPU), which contains the hybrid battery pack and the battery pack control systems is mounted under the rear floor. The IPU has been moved from the trunk, allowing the Accord Hybrid to offer 16.7 cubic-feet of cargo space.
The anticipated range for the 2018 Accord Hybrid is expected to break the 600-mile mark.*
The 2018 Honda Accord Hybrid will be available in five total trim levels: Hybrid, EX, EX-L, EX-L Navi and Touring.
