Amazon has run out of the cheaper model of the NVIDIA SHIELD TV with just the remote, which had been priced at $149 for a couple of weeks. But it has now discounted the original model, which includes the game controller, and it is now $159. That is down from its regular price of $199 and it is also the lowest price ever offered for this model. Lower than the $169 offered for Prime Day and Black Friday.
The NVIDIA SHIELD TV is an Android TV set-top box, which allows you to watch and consume content from basically everywhere on the web. Since it is an Android TV box, you get access to the Google Play Store which has a ton of different products available. On top of that, you also get access to a ton of games, many of which NVIDIA has made optimized for its set-top box, so you’re getting high quality gaming out of this one as well. Which is why it has a higher price tag than most other Android TV consoles on the market right now.
