The Honor Holly 4 Plus is now available in India. It is an upgrade over the Holly 4, which was launched in the country last month. The Holly 4 Plus sports a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 720, somewhat larger than the 5-inch display of the Holly 4. The handset has a metal chassis that has a sandblasted surface at the back. The front of the handset is covered by a sheet of 2.5D curved glass. Both the power button and the volume rocker are located on the right-hand side of the smartphone. The microUSB port and the loudspeaker are found at the bottom part of the smartphone while the headphone jack is placed at the opposite end of the device. The rear panel of the handset contains a single camera and directly below it is the fingerprint scanner for unlocking the device. The manufacturer claims that the fingerprint scanner can unlock the smartphone in 0.3 seconds and the sensor can be assigned to trigger certain actions like answering calls or stopping alarms.
The Honor Holly 4 Plus is powered by the Snapdragon 435 chipset from Qualcomm, which is comprised of an octa-core ARM Cortex A53 64-bit CPU with a maximum frequency of 1.4GHz and the Adreno 505 GPU. The modem incorporated into the SoC supports Voice over LTE (VoLTE), and it also sports connectivity features like Bluetooth LE 4.1 and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. The handset also supports navigation systems like GPS and GLONASS. Inside the smartphone are 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal flash storage that can be expanded by a microSD card with capacities of up to 128GB.
The rear camera is equipped with a 12-megapixel camera with an aperture size of f/2.2, and a pixel size of 1.25um. The front-facing camera, on the other hand, has an 8-megapixel sensor. The handset ships with Android 7.0 Nougat pre-installed, although the manufacturer’s proprietary skin, EMUI 5.1, runs on top of Google’s operating system. Honor’s skin also has a toggle that allows the user to switch between standard and drawer home screen modes. To power the device, the handset contains a 4,100mAh battery. Interested buyers may choose among the three color options, namely Gray, Gold, and Silver colors. The device is priced at Rs. 13,999, which is equivalent to $216 at the current exchange rate.
