Get rid of the dark pores on your legs!



 

Many women have the problem with dark spots on their legs, they usually look like the spots on the strawberries and therefore this condition is known as “strawberry legs”.

This is more common for people with lighter skin complexion and it happens as a result of plugged pores. When the dirt, oil, and bacteria comes in contact with the oxygen and turns the pores black.

The cause for dark pores

Most of the dark pores show up after shaving especially if you are using a dull razor. The follicle isn’t removed completely and the opening becomes full of dead skin cells and dirt. So, if you want to avoid those dark pores you should use another method for hair removing such as waxing, laser hair removal, and depilatories.

A note about the ingredients

  • Use ingredients that contain alpha hydroxyl acids when you exfoliate the legs. This acid will help you to remove the dead skin cells. In that way, you will make your skin smoother, reduce the inflammation, and decrease discoloration.
  • Glycolic acid is another useful ingredient for exfoliating the skin and you will get amazing results.
  • Citric acid can be found in the lemons, grapefruits, and limes while lactic acid can be found in the milk. Their acids are also great for the skin and against hyperpigmentation.
  • Keep in mind that lime is better than lemon when it comes to treating dark pores.
  • Cucumbers, rosewater, sandalwood oil, and aloe vera they all have the ability to reduce inflammation while coconut oil eliminates the bacteria and the avocado and olive oil are emollients.
  • Brown sugar is a bit gentler exfoliator that the white one.

Treatments and remedies that can be great for eliminating the dark pores

  • Exfoliate your skin

If you want to remove the dark pores you should exfoliate your skin regularly. In that way, you will remove the dead cells and cleanse the pores. Here are some ingredients that can be used as exfoliators:

  • Mix 4 tbsp. of olive oil and 2 tbsp. of sugar
  • Mix 1 tsp. of warm water and 1 tbsp. of baking soda
  • Mix some buttermilk and some salt to make a paste
  • Mix 1 tsp. of lemon juice, 2 tbsp. of aloe vera gel, and 2 tbsp. of brown sugar
  • Blend some water, baking soda, and brown sugar to get a paste

Instructions

Massage the affected area with some gentle circular moves. Use a towel, loofah, or exfoliating mitt. Gently wash it with some warm water.

  • Massage

Massage your legs with some oils and lotions like aloe vera and keep the skin moisturized.

  • Add pure coconut oil, almond oil, vitamin E, or jojoba oil.
  • Apply cucumber juice on the affected areas.
  • Massage the affected area with some olive oil and tea tree oil.
  • Use coconut oil, olive oil, and sandalwood oil.
  • Mix rosewater, cucumber juice, and some lemon juice.
  • Apply some egg whites on the pores and after a few minutes wash it well.
