Most of the people love iced water especially during the hot summer times. We usually go to a restaurant and order one but here are some reasons why we shouldn’t do that.
It is dangerous for our body
When the skin comes in contact with some warm water the pores open and the skin become loose but when it comes in contact with some cold water the skin constricts and the pores as well.
The consequences of drinking iced water
- It shrinks the blood vessels in the digestive tract and the hydration will be reduced.
- The body will spend a lot of energy in order to regulate the temperature and due to that the digestive system won’t have enough energy to digest the food.
- The ice will create excess mucus, weaken the immune system and we will be more prone to flu and common colds.
- When we drink cold water the body doesn’t have the same ability to digest the fats and due to that we gain more weight. We should always try to help the work of the digestive system if we want it to work properly.
