Earlier today, we’ve talked about the OPPO R11s TENAA (China’s equivalent to the FCC) certification, and that phone is followed by the OPPO A73, yet another OPPO-branded smartphone that got certified by TENAA quite recently. Having said that, the OPPO A73 is clearly inferior to the OPPO R11s in terms of specs, and it will look a bit different than the OPPO R11s as well, read on.
Now, first and foremost, it’s worth noting that this phone will not sport basically any bezel on the sides, or below its display, but you will notice some above its display. You cannot really see that in TENAA’s image, well at least not easily, but the edited image in the gallery down below (5th image) clearly shows it, it simply gives you a better look at the front side of the device, as that is only a slightly edited image from TENAA which clearly indicates where the bezels lie. Now, if this phone ends up shipping with plenty of black bars around the display, its bezels will be thicker than these images suggest. The OPPO A73 is made out of metal, it sports a rear-facing fingerprint scanner, and a single camera on its back, while an LED flash is placed next to it. OPPO’s branding is present on the back of this phone, while the power / lock key lies on the right-hand side of the OPPO A73. The phone’s volume rocker is placed on the left side of the device, while a SIM card tray also lies there.
The OPPO A73 features a 5.99-inch fullHD+ (2160 x 1080) display, which means we’re looking at a phone with an 18:9 aspect ratio here. The device will be fueled by an octa-core SoC which is clocked at 2.5GHz, though we still do not know what processor is this exactly. The OPPO A73 will pack in 4GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage. A 3,115mAh non-removable battery will also be a part of this package, and we still do not have any info as to what camera sensors to expect here. The OPPO A73 will ship in black and gold color variants, it seems, while it will measure 156.5 x 76 x 7.5mm, and weigh 152 grams. Android 7.1.1 Nougat will come pre-installed on the device, and on top of it you’ll get OPPO’s ColorOS UI.
