Mitsubishi Announces 6-All-New Models and 5 Redesigns

New Mitsubishi Models Announced  

The coming years are proving to be a very exciting time for the Mitsubishi brand. The company recently announced that its plans for the next three years focus heavily on expanding its lineup. According to a recent release, the brand plans to have eleven new model launches over its three-year expansion period. These launches consist of five redesigns and significant updates to current models and six completely new vehicles.  

Two the brand’s planned new vehicles have already been announced, with the all-new Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross poised to arrive later this year/early next year. The second model announced is the Mitsubishi Xpander, however, the sporty minivan-like model isn’t currently intended to make a debut in the United States.  

Adding new models to the Mitsubishi lineup over the next few years will add a new level of welcomed variety to the brand’s lineup. Mitsubishi has also mentioned that it’s new model development is focusing on SUVs, trucks and Plug-in hybrids, great for families and city drivers looking to save behind the wheel.  

If we had to speculate on the other upcoming models, we’d suspect a full-sized SUV to be added to the mix, giving a viable option to larger families and those looking for extra cargo space. It has also been speculated that the sizes of the Outlander and Outlander Sport will be in for a change, with the Outlander getting bigger and the Outlander Sport getting smaller for more variety between the two.
