Making monthly payments for a smartphone is all the rage these days, and HTC has decided to jump on the bandwagon.
Today HTC officially announced a way to make it easier to buy a new smartphone. The company is teaming up with TD Partnership Programs to offer financing options for mobile devices. The new program, called the HTC Financing Program, will let you buy a smartphone that costs $599 or more with no money up front. After that, you’ll be paying a set amount every month.
You’ll need to apply for credit with HTC, and if you are approved, you’ll pay $0 down and 0 percent APR for 24 months.
HTC currently has the U11 in both the 64GB and 128GB variants available for financing. Approved customers can get the 64GB model for $0 down and $28 per month. Meanwhile, the 128GB model will cost $0 down and then $31 per month.
The new financing program will make buying a new phone easier for approved customers, but considering so many people get their new phones from carriers (where financing is the name of the game there, too), it will be interesting to see how well HTC’s new financing program does.
Will you take advantage of the new financing from HTC?
