Google Again Partners With uBreakiFix For Pixel 2, XL Repairs

uBreakiFix has now announced that it has partnered with Google to offer an exclusive same-day repair service to owners of Google’s latest smartphone offerings, the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL. As a result those who do find themselves in need of a repair for either of the two new phones will be able to make use of uBreakiFix’s extensive list of locations which the company states currently stands at 335. Furthermore, those in need of a repair will not have to worry about making an appointment with uBreakiFix confirming Pixel 2 and 2 XL owners will be able to enjoy a walk-in repair service as and when needed.

Those upgrading from the first-generation Pixel and XL smartphones will already likely be well-versed in uBreakiFix as pretty much the same arrangement was in place last year for the original models. So if anything this is more of an extension of the original agreement than the announcing of a new one. In either case, uBreakiFix explains that it will be able to help Pixel 2 and 2 XL owners with a wide range of smartphone-related issues including fixing cracked screens, dealing with water damage, as well as dealing with other software and camera-related issues. With the company noting that “each store is equipped with a committed team of specialists.” Cracked screens are likely to be one of the most common issues encountered and on the back of that likelihood uBreakiFix also confirmed that Pixel 2 phone owners will be able to have their screen repaired for a ‘special price.’ For standard Pixel 2 screens the cost will be $149.99 while Pixel 2 XL screens will cost $219.99 to be fixed.

In spite of the Pixel 2 and 2 XL only having just gone on general release, and only just started making their way out to those who pre-ordered early, some owners have already been noting various issues with the phones. A number of which do seem to stem from the display although there has also been other instances, like for example some owners noting high pitched and clicking sounds. While some may be fixable and others more fundamental, those who have or plan on buying a Pixel 2 or 2 XL smartphone may want to head through the link below for the finer details on this latest uBreakiFix announcement and to identify the nearest location. For Pixel 2 and 2 XL owners not based in the US or Canada, none of this will be applicable to you.
