Why We Feel Bloated—and How to Make it Go Away



At some point of our lives we all suffer from bloating. This can happen as a result of some foods like cabbage, cauliflower, from carbonated beverages or eating too fast. The main reason why we are bloated is sodium. It binds with water and it stays in our bodies. But sodium is everywhere even in food that we think there isn’t any. So we must learn to read the food tags carefully. Today we are going to show you some natural remedies against bloating.

Peppermint

Menthol oil is the main ingredient of peppermint; it has the ability to soothe the muscles of the digestive tract due to its antispasmodic properties. It relieves the cramps in the gallbladder, bile duct, and gastrointestinal tract.

Try chewing some fresh peppermint leaves or prepare some tea. Put a peppermint tea bag in some hot water and leave it for 10 minutes. Try drinking 3 cups per day.

Ginger

This plant is known for its anti-inflammatory properties. It relaxes the muscles in the intestines and reduces inflammation.

You can eat 1 tsp. of freshly grated ginger before you eat or add it to your food. Or another option is to prepare a ginger tea from some slices of ginger. Put them in some hot water for 10 min. Strain the mixture and add some lemon and some honey. Drink three cups per day.

Activated Charcoal

You can find it in every pharmacy but you must talk to your doctor first for the right dose. It is great due to its porous properties.

Bananas

This great fruit is rich in fibers and potassium and that is the reason why they are great for gas and bloating. Try eating them every day and you will feel great improvements.

Warm lemon water

Lately, we read and hear a lot about the benefit of drinking warm lemon water. It is great because it hydrates the body and removes the toxins. The lemons are fruit that is rich in proteins, magnesium, riboflavin, vitamin B and mostly vitamin C.  So if we mix some lemon juice with some warm water we will experience some great benefits. Constipation, gas and bloating will be gone and what is more our body will be detoxified.

Bloating can interfere with our daily activities and these remedies will help you with that so just try them. But if your bloating is chronic then you must visit your doctor.
