The low-carb food list! Follow a low-carb diet and lose your weight!



Foods like pasta, bread, sweets, etc. are rich in carbs and if we follow a low-carb diet we must avoid them and eat protein, veggies, and healthy fats.

There are many types of low-carb diets but the key factor is to know the foods that are low in carbs. Here is a list of foods that are low in carbs (especially the vegetables which contain between 0-1 g net carbs per serving).

Meat

  • Pork rinds
  • Goose
  • Veal
  • Organ meats
  • Beef
  • Pork
  • Lamb
  • Turkey
  • Duck
  • Chicken

Seafood

  • Fish
  • Shellfish
  • Mollusks

Dairy

  • Eggs
  • Cheese
  • Butter
  • Heavy cream
  • Margarine

Oil

  • Sunflower oil
  • Peanut oil
  • Sesame oil
  • Olive oil
  • Safflower oil
  • Corn oil
  • Coconut oil
  • Avocado oil

Vegetables

  • Leafy green vegetables like kale, spinach, Bok Choy, etc.
  • Vegetables of the Chicory family
  • Alfalfa sprouts
  • Radish
  • Celery
  • Fresh herbs
  • Cucumber

Condiments

  • Salt
  • Mayonnaise
  • Hot sauce
  • Mustard
  • Vinegar

Drinks

  • Coffee without any milk or sugar
  • Mix powders (Crystal Light)
  • Tea without milk, sugar or sweeteners
  • Herbal tea
  • Water

Additional tips

  • Eat and drink foods that are of animal origin (meat, eggs, dairy)
  • Eat meat, eggs, and dairy until you are full in order to avoid other food cravings
  • Eat enough fats
  • Don’t eat sugary foods and don’t drink sugary beverages
  • You don’t need to count calories just keep in mind to eat low-carb meal whenever you are hungry
  • Drink a lot of water and low-carb beverages but mainly water
