Helping to deliver the incredible performance in the new 2017 Ford Flex is a 3.5-liter Ti-VCT V6 engine that offers 287 horsepower and 254 lb-ft of torque. All of that power and torque is sent through a six-speed automatic transmission to your choice of either a front- or all-wheel drive system. The available Intelligent all-wheel drive system continuously monitors wheel speed, throttle position and steering angle to help give you the traction control you need to safely drive on slick road surfaces. The other engine that is available in the 2017 Ford Flex is a turbocharged 3.5-liter EcoBoost® V6 that cranks out 365 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque. All-wheel drive is standard with this engine option, as are steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters.  

Other performance features available in the new 2017 Ford Flex include AdvanceTrac® with RSC (Roll Stability Control™), which uses gyroscopic sensors to measure both vehicle roll and turning rates, and trailer sway control. The trailer sway control feature applies precise braking or adjusted engine torque to help keep your new Ford Flex and trailer under control.
