As you may remember, Berman Auto Group participated in a joint Children’s Book Drive, in association with the Peterson & Pulaski Business & Industrial Council, 39th Ward Alderman Margaret Laurino, and the Pulaski Elston Business Association, spanning April and May. On Friday, June 9th, 2017, Berman Auto Group met with Alderman Laurino to collect and deliver all the books received during our drive. Together, we collected hundreds of new and gently used books to deliver to schools with children who might not otherwise have access to reading material beyond their textbooks.
After collecting all of the books into the Berman Van, we set off to Palmer Elementary School, where the extremely well-behaved students, led by Principal Dixon, gathered to collect books from the Alderman, her team, and Berman Auto Group’s very own Leah Garcia.
After that, we moved on to Volta Elementary School to drop off more books. We got a chance to speak with Principal Johnson and Alderman Laurino to learn more about the students at Volta, as well as the impact these books can have on young minds.
Berman Auto Group has been, and will continue to be, committed to its community, which is why our #30ActsOfKindness in 30 weeks initiative is so important to us. Our bond with the community is the backbone of our continued growth and success, and we’re looking forward to do much more!
