What are the models in the Honda Clarity lineup?
The newest addition to the Honda lineup has just been revealed. Dubbed the Clarity, this new car will be offered in multiple models, each utilizing a different power system. So what are the models in the Honda Clarity lineup?
Honda Clarity Plug-in Hybrid
The first model in the Clarity lineup is the Clarity Plug-in Hybrid. The plug-in hybrid model is powered by a 181-horsepower electric motor paired with a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine. The motor draws power from a 17-kilowatt hour (kWh) battery pack. The battery pack has an estimate recharge time of 2.5-hours at 240 volts.
Plug-in hybrid Clarity models will offer three selectable drive modes – Normal, Econ and Sport. Each mode modifies the car’s settings to maximize performance. The Clarity Plug-in Hybrid will be available in two trim levels: standard and Touring.

Honda Clarity Electric
Powering the Clarity Electric is an electric motor that produces 161 horsepower and 221 pound-feet of torque. The motor draws power from a 25.5-kWh battery pack. The battery pack can be charged in just over three hours using a 240-volt power source. The Clarity Electric also offers Normal, Econ and Sport driving modes.

Honda Clarity Fuel Cell
The hydrogen-powered Honda Clarity Fuel Cell. The newer version of the Clarity Fuel Cell has increased performance. The fuel cell stack is now 33 percent more compact with a 60 percent increase in power density over previous models.
