2017 Honda Civic Si Engine and Performance Features
Honda has just revealed the latest versions of the Civic Si Coupe and Sedan. This performance-oriented car is designed to add a little fun to the compact car class. Reaching this goal starts with the 2017 Honda Civic Si engine and performance features.
Turbocharged Civic Si Engine
Under the hood of both the Coupe and Sedan models of the 2017 Honda Civic Si will be a 1.5-liter, directed-injection, turbocharged, DOHC four-cylinder engine. The engine utilizes dual variable cam diming (dual VTC). Performance numbers on the engine check in at 205 horsepower and 192 pound-feet of torque. The engine is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission to complete the powertrain.

Civic Si Performance-Oriented Features
Several additional features help supplement the turbocharged engine and add to the performance of the 2017 Civic Si. The 2017 new version of the car will come equipped with features like: dual-pinion, variable ratio adaptive electric power steering system, sport-tuned suspension, an adaptive damper system, a helical limited-slip differential, 12.3-inch front brake rotors and wider 235/40 R18 tires, adaptive dampers, stiffer spring rates, more rigid stabilizer bars, solid front and rear compliance bushings and ultra-rigid front upper control arms. Performance tires are available as an added option.
For 2017, the Civic Si will now feature two driving mode options: Normal and Sport. The default Normal setting is comfort-oriented, while Sport mode adjusts the suspension and steering to add to the driver experience.
