The beta version of Google Maps has been updated with a new and convenient feature. Tapping the blue dot on your location now offers the option of saving your parking location.
With the parking location you can save notes, a time limit (which will also set a timer), and even photos. This will guarantee you’ll find your car when coming back.
Unfortunately, this feature is not yet automated. Google Now will occasionally save your parking spot, but it’s sporadic at best. Hopefully this feature will make it to the standard version of Google Maps soon, as well as see improvements like automation.
