Happy Lunar New Year!
We are currently in the year of the rooster and the recent Lunar New Year has got me thinking about one of the mini goals I want to achieve this month.
To be honest with you, January was such a blur with travel, deadlines, work, family visits that I am declaring February the new January. A new month, means a fresh new slate and Lunar New Year is the perfect time to re-evaluate your goals to see where you’ve been and where you’re going.
First off, I’ve been slacking on eating a healthy breakfast every morning. Lately, I’ve been grabbing a coffee and hitting my phone as soon as I wake-up. When 11 AM rolls around, I’m usually groggy, hangry and out of energy.
It’s definitely something I want to change.
Kellogg’s Corn Flakes has launched a special-edition Year of the Rooster Box to celebrate the Lunar New Year. Look for the festive red and gold box with Mandarin New Year wishes on the font.
I grew up eating Kellogg’s Corn Flakes with my grandmother. It was the main breakfast cereal she enjoyed when she first immigrated to Canada. We always had a box at our house and when I pour a bowl, I am reminded of her.
I like to top my corn flakes with milk, banana slices and a hot mug of green tea. Since it’s the Lunar New Year I add a little clementine to pair with my bowl. It’s a great little start to my day and isn’t complicated to make in the morning. Kellogg’s Corn Flakes with milk are packed with B vitamins, iron, calcium and vitamin D. For a dairy-free alternative, try it with soy or almond milk and fresh berries.
Look for the Kellogg’s Corn Flakes special-edition Year of the Rooster box in stores now or learn more at Kellogg’s online.
