The 7-Day Smoothie Challenge

Trying to get your healthy eating habits back on track?

Whenever I fall off the rails somewhere between Thanksgiving and New Years Day, the first thing I do is start making smoothies for breakfast. It’s an easy way to get your fruits and vegetables in the morning and get yourself eating breakfast again.

So I put together this fun little 7-day smoothie challenge in case you’re struggling to come out of the sugar cookie coma too:

Orange Julius Green Smoothie

(Day 1 + 2)

One of my favourite recipes is this Orange Julius Green Smoothie made with spinach, orange, vanilla protein powder, yogurt or almond milk. It’s the perfect way to get your greens at breakfast.

Since I don’t have a ton of time to get this recipe going on a busy Monday morning – I’ll make 2 servings in the blender on Sunday night and pour them into two Mason jars to have for breakfast on Monday and Tuesday.

Peanut Butter + Jelly Smoothie

(Day 3 +4)

If you have a craving for sweet and salty – this Peanut Butter + Jelly Smoothie is made with frozen berries and almond milk. Make two servings on Wednesday morning and save the second one for Thursday.

For protein powder, I use Vanilla Vega Protein which is only about 90 calories and is plant-based and tastes great. You can definitely use whatever protein powder you want or leave it out completely and add a bit of vanilla extract instead.

Classic Green Monster

(Day 5 + 6)

I bought the Oh She Glows Cookbook earlier this year and have been living off the Classic Green Monster recipe. It definitely gives me an energy boost in the morning and I love the cinnamon, peanut butter and banana flavour. It’s packed full or nutrients and a great meal replacement as well. Make one for Friday and Saturday.

Strawberry-Banana-Smoothie

Strawberry Vanilla Banana Smoothie

(Day 7)

On Sunday make your final drink of the week. I LOVE this Strawberry Banana Smoothie from Gimme Some Oven because it’s so simple. You can use vanilla almond milk or even add a bit or orange juice to sweeten it up.

Cheers!
