T-Mobile has announced that customers using its popular T-Mobile Tuesdays app can now share gifts with others, even those on other carriers. The change will begin on Tuesday, January 24, and applies to select gifts. For example, the first round will allow T-Mobile customers to gift a FandangoNOW movie rental and $0.25/gallon discount at Shell, while still keeping one for themselves. Additionally, T-mobile customers will receive one free Lyft ride, up to $15, that can either be gifted or kept.
Though gifting does not apply to all prizes, it should be a great perk for T-Mobile customers and their friends and family. It may also prove to be a powerful marketing tool for T-Mobile, with the ability to share gifts with those on other carriers.
T-Mobile customers, keep an eye out for the new feature this Tuesday. And for those who aren’t T-Mobile customers, you may want to begin schmoozing your friends who are.
