Samsung Electronics has announced that it will be holding a special event this Sunday, January 22, at which it will announce the results of its investigation into the Galaxy Note 7 fires.
After Note 7 devices began exploding, Samsung filed reports on each incident and took the proper measures in stopping sales and eventually recalling all devices. Since then, the company has been hard at work investigating the fires on a case-by-case basis, analyzing the data gathered to help find the cause of the fires. While theories about the cause of the fires have been proposed, this event will reveal the official cause that Samsung uncovered.
The event is scheduled for 8PM EST on Sunday, with an English livestream available on Samsung’s website. Stay tuned for coverage of the findings.
