Adaptive Cruise Control in your Mitsubishi

Mitsubishi Adaptive Cruise Control Explained

In modern vehicles, there are a wide variety of advanced driver-assistance features designed cut down on reaction times and give driver’s the easiest, safest driving experience possible. Among those features is the Mitsubishi Adaptive Cruise Control, which works to help drivers maintain a steady speed, while adjusting to the vehicles around them.

Available throughout the Mitsubishi line up, from the Outlander to the Mirage, the Adaptive Cruise Control feature works with the cruise control system already in your vehicle to maintain your speed, without the use of your accelerator pedal. With the ACC system, your Mitsubishi will use a radar sensor located beneath the front grille of your vehicle to measure your vehicle’s speed and the speeds of the vehicles in front of it. The system will automatically adjust your speed in order to maintain a safe distance between yourself and the vehicle in front of you.

How to set the ACC in your Mitsubishi

To enable the ACC system in your Mitsubishi, all you have to do is press the ACC on/off button located on the right side of your steering wheel, and the icon for it will appear on your trip computer screen in standby mode. From there you need to set the required speed, which is done whenever another vehicle is picked up by the radar sensor and you push down on the setting switch on your steering wheel.
