2017 Civic Hatchback LX vs Sport Trim

The LX trim is the base trim of the 2017 Civic Hatchback model lineup, and the Sport trim is the next level up. The LX trim offers a generous amount of standard features and amenities, many of which the LX and Sport trim share. Rather than upgrading features, the Sport trim adds special design touches to give the trim a more aggressive appearance. More premium features and amenities are added with the next two trim levels, the EX and EX-L Navi.

The 2017 Civic Hatchback LX is equipped with a 1.5L DOHC 4-cylinder engine that delivers up to 174-hp mated to a Continuously Variable Transmission. Some of the LX trim’s standard features include 16” alloy wheels, automatic climate control, cruise control, a 12V power outlet, Bluetooth streaming and HandsFreeLink, a USB port, a 5” color LCD screen, a rearview camera, and more.

2017 Honda Civic Hatchback Sport

The 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback Sport trim gives the 2017 Civic Hatchback a hint of sporty flare with special design touches and improved performance. The Sport trim is equipped with a 1.5L turbocharged DOHC 4-cylinder engine that delivers 180-hp, about 4-hp more than the LX trim. The Sport’s engine is mated to a Continuously Variable Transmission with Paddle Shifters.

The 2017 Civic Hatchback Sport trim offers the following design upgrades: 18” alloy wheels, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, illuminated vanity mirrors, textured aluminum pedals, an underbody spoiler kit, and a center outlet dual exhaust system. Drivers looking for more premium, advanced features are better opting for one of the two higher trim levels.
