2017 Mitsubishi Outlander is a Top Safety Pick+
The Mitsubishi Outlander has taken the gold with the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety for four consecutive years in the competition for the safest SUV. The 2017 Mitsubishi has been awarded the IIHS Top Safety Pick+ Award, earning “Good” ratings in the institute’s five crash worthiness tests and headlight rating and advanced or superior in its front crash prevention.

IIHS Top Safety Pick+ 2017 Outlander Scores
The 2017 Outlander shined with its seven-passenger model equipped with optional Touring Package. The Outlander SEL scored “Good” in all five crash worthiness tests consisting of small front overlap, moderate frontal overlap, side, roof strength and head restraint categories. Its Forward Collision Mitigation system helped the model attain a “Superior” rating in front crash prevention and its optional LED headlights scored an “Acceptable.”
