Winter WonderFest at Navy Pier

This year marks the 16th annual Winter WonderFest at Navy Pier and it’s shaping up to be the best yet. The event is Chicago’s largest indoor winter festival with an indoor ice skating rink, Ferris wheel, carousel, inflatable slides and thousand of twinkling Christmas lights.
Holiday Magic at Brookfield Zoo

Go on a safari of Christmas lights at one of Chicagoland’s biggest light festivals of the season. The Brookfield Zoo features more than 1 million LED lights throughout the 216-acre zoo with scenes of animals and Christmas. Santa and Mrs. Claus will also be at the light show as well as a model train display and ice carvings.
Wonderland Express
December 16, 2016 – January 2, 2017
The Chicago Botanic Garden features a model train and holiday light display each year with events throughout the season to help families enjoy Christmas a little more. The Wonderland Express display includes indoor snow, model trains, miniature Chicago landmarks, ice sculptures and thousands of glittering lights.
2016 Christkindlmarket
November 18 – December 24, 2016
Daley Plaza becomes Christmas town once a year during the Christkindlmarket. Inspired by the German Nuremberg Christmas Market, the event features authentic German cuisine, goods and decorations. Red and white huts fill the plaza decorated in twinkling garland and packed with spice wine, strudel, sausage and other Christmas goodies.
Chicago Trolley Holiday Lights Tour
To see as many of Chicago’s Christmas light displays as possible, check out the Chicago Trolley Holiday Lights Tour. The trolley takes you on a two and a half hour ride through the Zoo, the Magnificent Mile, Millennium Park, State Street and Macy’s holiday windows.
