Facebook has announced a dedicated app called Events from Facebook for browsing, joining, and managing events. The company claims that over 100 million people use Facebook events daily, so it makes sense to create an app to more easily discover them.
The app allows you to see events your friends are interested in, your liked pages are talking about, and various events in your area. There’s even a map view to see what’s going on around you. The app gives out recommendations based on your interests, and you can find events that are going on at any time. It also features a calendar for managing all the events you’re interested in, which is a nice touch.
The app is available on iOS today and is launching soon on Android. We should be used to that by now, unfortunately. Will you be giving this app a try?
