Where Can You Catch Pokemon in Austin, TX?

Pokemon GO, the first game to ever get players up and out of their houses to explore the real world, continues to entertain players of all ages. The location-based augmented reality game challenges players to find and catch virtual pokemon in the real world. To help make the search a little easier, Howdy Honda put together a quick guide on places to catch Pokemon in Austin, as well as the Pokemon GO Austin Google Map. Happy Hunting!

Pokemon GO Austin Locations

Arboretum Shores | This area is filled with stops, including in the Drafthouse lobby, at Newk’s, and at the cow statue near Amy’s. Players have reported finding Charmanders, Pinsirs, Scythers, and Tauros in this area.  

Anderson Lane | Anderson is said to have seven stops in the same parking lot at the Village Shopping Center. Players can explore the shops and surrounding areas to find various pokemon. There are also a large number of gyms in the area, as well. Some locations including Shriner’s statue on Rockwood and Foster, the post office on Northcross, and the parking lot of Schlotzsky’s.

Burnet | There are a staggering amount of pokestops and gyms in this area. Pokestops include Monkey Nest Coffee, Lucy’s Fried Chicken, and Hat Creek Burgers.

The Capitol | The area surrounding the capitol is full of Pokemon. Some elusive Pokemon can be caught here, as well, including Pikachu, Bulbasaur, and Snorlax.

Cedar Park | Veterans Memorial Park is full of poketops. There are also a few gyms within walking distance. Other stops include the police station on Discovery and the library across the street. Pikachu have also been reported near Cypress Creek.

Mueller Shopping Center | The shopping center has a high concentration of pokestops, as well as a gym at the Torchy’s located there. Pikachu have also been found in this area.

This Pokemon GO Austin Google Map displays all of the pokemon that can be caught in the area, as well as popular farming spots. The Pokemon are sorted by type, and each category is a different layer on the map. Users can select a specific category, or select all categories.Pikachu
