Motorola has announced its update plans for a few of its newest devices. The Moto Z, Moto Z Force, Moto Z Play, Moto G4, and Moto G4 Plus are all set to get the latest version of Android in Q4 2016.
The fourth quarter starts in just a few days, but it’s likely we’ll be seeing the update come later in the quarter. The devices will be getting Nougat before the end of the year, though, which is pretty quick all things considered. Motorola does have the benefit of near stock Android to shorten update times.
Other Motorola devices weren’t lucky enough to get update schedules, so owners of the Moto X Pure Edition and other older devices won’t know when the update is coming for a while. But Motorola claims that many older devices will get the update, so hang in there.
