Differences Between 2016 Pilot and 2016 Odyssey

The two vehicles are similar in a few areas, including price, fuel economy ratings, and towing capacity. Families looking to haul more cargo and still have plenty of space in the cabin are better off with the Odyssey, as it offers more interior room overall, including leg room, head-space, and maximum cargo capacity. However, if cargo capacity is less of an issue, the Pilot still offers a spacious, comfortable interior, as well.

The Pilot and the Odyssey both offer some driver assistance features from the Honda Sensing suite, including lane keeping assist and blind spot monitor. When it comes to convenience amenities, the Odyssey outdoes the Pilot with a larger rear entertainment system and a built-in HondaVAC for immediate clean-up on those messy family trips.

The Pilot and the Odyssey are both great family vehicles. The Odyssey will likely better serve growing families with young children who need more entertainment, cleaning power, and cargo capacity. The Pilot, on the other hand, will likely better serve families with older children who are content with a smaller (but still sufficient) cargo space and rear entertainment system.
