Word all over the worldwide web is that augmented-reality helmet startup Skully will be closing its doors and leaving its investors, 50-some employees, and 3,000 pre-orderers on the hook. TechCrunch reports Skully’s CEO walked away from the Silicon Valley company 11 days ago after a buy-out deal fell through, and Skully’s owners have reportedly determined that shuttering the company is the best way to proceed.
