The Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance and the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance are, without a doubt, the most impressive high-end automotive gatherings in North America. Our own Hemmings Motor News Concours d’Elegance, though held on a smaller scale, continues to receive rave reviews from exhibitors and attendees alike. Now, the three events have something in common: All are candidates, along with 17 other shows, for the USA Today reader’s choice “Best Car Show.”

Other selections include the Street Rod Nationals in Louisville, Kentucky; Back to the ’50s in St. Paul, Minnesota; the Charlotte Autofair in Charlotte, North Carolina; the Chicago Auto Show in Chicago, Illinois; Concorso Italiano in Monterey Bay, California; the Concours d’Elegance of America in Plymouth, Michigan; The Elegance at Hershey in Hershey, Pennsylvania; EyesOn Design in Grosse Pointe Shores, Michigan; the Los Angeles Auto Show in Los Angeles, California; Luftgekuhlt in Vernon, California; the Miami International Auto Show in Miami, Florida; the New England Auto Show in Boston, Massachusetts; the New York International Auto Show in New York, New York; the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Michigan; the Telluride Festival of Cars and Colors in Telluride, Colorado; the Texas Hoedown in Hempstead, Texas; and the Woodward Dream Cruise in Detroit, Michigan.

If that seems like an eclectic mix of shows, it does offer something for virtually every lover of automobiles, from classic cars to new cars, hot rods to Ferraris, and production cars to those heavily modified. The 20 selections were chosen by an expert panel that included Eddie Alterman, editor-in-chief of Car and Driver magazine, and John Davis, creator, host and executive producer of MotorWeek, the longest-running automotive television series. Regardless of our final position on the list, we’re honored to be included with such prestigious company.

Here’s the good news: Voters can cast ballots for multiple events, though only two votes per day can be registered from a single IP address. Voting lasts until Monday, July 18, so feel free to vote early and vote often for your favorite shows.
