When Samsung launched the Galaxy Note 5 last year, it did so in mid-August. From the sounds of it, Samsung has plans to keep that trend going.
According to Evan Blass (@evleaks), the announcement of the “Galaxy Note 6/7″ is “almost exactly two months away.” That doesn’t necessarily give us an exact date to circle on our calendars or anything, but it does suggest that the manufacturer has aspirations of keeping the August reveal going strong.

This year’s unveiling might break away from the norm, at least in one way. It’s been previously rumored that Samsung is going to skip the Galaxy Note 6 name this year and instead opt for Galaxy Note 7 branding to better synchronize with the Galaxy S7/S7 edge that launched earlier this year.
