The OnePlus 3 has felt like a long time coming thanks to all the leaks and teases, but the wait is finally over and as expected, you don’t need an invite to get this year’s OnePlus-branded flagship.
The OnePlus 3 is now official, and it boasts a stacked list of high-end specifications. That includes a 5.5-inch AMOLED 1080p HD display, with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor under the hood. There’s 6GB of RAM in there, too. Around the back, there’s a 16-megapixel rear camera which features optical image stabilization, and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera on the other side. The battery is measured in at 3000mAh, and it’s running the proprietary OxygenOS which features Android 6.0.1 out of the box.
The body of the OnePlus 3 is unibody aluminum and it features a fingerprint sensor below the display. It will be available in two colors from the start: Graphite and Soft Gold. The OnePlus 3 goes on sale at the official OnePlus website beginning at 12:00pm PST/3:00pm EST, and it retails for $399.99. You won’t need an invite to pick up the handset, either.
So what do you think? Is the OnePlus 3 the true “flagship killer?” The device you’ve been waiting for? Or just another handset you’ll ignore this year?
