Some expected Google to announce the name of Android N at this year’s I/O conference, that didn’t end up being the case. Google admitted that they’d had a hard time deciding what to name Android N, and so they decided to go a different route. Instead of buckling down and naming it on their own, they opened up the floodgates and let Android fans try to pick the name for the next version of Android.
The official Android Twitter account has confirmed that submissions in the “#NameAndroidN” campaign have been tallied, and that they aren’t taking anymore in. On top of that, they’ll announce the name of Android N “in a few weeks.”
Did you participate in the campaign? What do you hope Android N is called?
Thanks for your submissions. We’ll reveal the new name in a few weeks! #NameAndroidNhttps://t.co/qLtDZJNe9y
