I don't know about y'all, but it's been 95 degrees here for the past few days so I'm officially calling it summer. Since it's been so sunny and warm, I've been pulling out my favorite Essie nail polishes for the season and thought I would share my top four with you guys today.
First up is Essie's Blanc. This is a classic white cream shade that I'm pretty sure everyone has (or has heard of). I love this color for summer because it looks so incredible with a tan. It's a classic color that looks good with everything, and I how clean and simple it is. This one is pretty opaque, so you only need two full coats for a solid mani.
For a bright pop of color, Essie's Clambake is my go-to. If I had to pick only one nail polish for the entire summer, it would be this one. Clambake is a gorgeous orange red with a gel-like finish, and only takes a couple coats for opaque color. I'm a huge fan of orange-toned reds for summer because they are so bright and fun. If you're wanting something summer-y for your toes, this is it.
If I'm wanting something more pastel but still fresh for summer, I go with Essie's Bikini So Teeny. This is a shade I picked up at the recommendation of several of my favorite bloggers, and I'm so glad I did. It's a pastel cornflower blue that is super opaque. In the bottle it looks a bit shimmery, but once it's applied it looks like a standard cream.
My final summer favorite is Essie's Splash Of Grenadine. This is the prettiest pinky-purple cream - it reminds me of the color of the sky when the sun is setting on a summer day. You can get away with 2 coats, but I think three coats looks best (if you can sit still long enough for each coat to dry, which I'm horrible at lol). I really like this one for a fun, everyday shade, and it's another color that looks awesome for a pedicure.
