If this rumor pans out, expect to see the OnePlus 3 launch with 32 GB of internal storage and 4 GB of RAM as its standard configuration. That seems to line up with one of the leaked benchmarks, and also confirms the idea that we’ll have an entry level model and a higher end model. I feel like 32 GB of storage (plus a likely microSD card slot) with 4 GB of RAM would be enough for 99% of people, but hey, more options don’t hurt.
That “entry level” model will also probably cost around $310. That matches up pretty closely with the OnePlus 2’s $329 launch price point, so it’s credible, but it doesn’t tell us what the higher end model with 6 GB of RAM will cost. We’re also expecting a Snapdragon 820 on board, but display size and resolution is still up in the air until a more definite rumor shows up.
The rumor also suggests that OnePlus will announce the phone on May 18th with a June release date. We’ve heard the June release date before, so that’s looking very likely, and a May announcement means we won’t have to wait much longer before OnePlus strips away the mystery.
