The Galaxy Note 4 is one of those handsets that has always felt like it was unloved, and despite being ignored and neglected it somehow manages to subsist on hand-me-downs while its newer siblings received new and fancy things. While many worried that Samsung had, in fact, abandoned this most venerable of devices, it seems that today is the day that many Note 4 owners could only dream about. Yes, you dared to dream, and now it’s (finally) coming true. Samsung is in the process of rolling out the Marshmallow update to the Note 4 (SM-N910F) in Europe.

The Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update features the Doze power-saving function, as well as enhanced usability and visual design, whatever that means. If you haven’t received a notification that the Marshmallow update is available for your handset, why not head to Settings/About Device/ Software Updates and tap the Update Now button to see if its available for your handset. If it isn’t there, don’t worry, updates are usually rolled out in stages, and if it’s a carrier version it could be delayed a little while longer too. Hopefully, though, it will appear in the next few days or weeks.
If you’ve received the Marshmallow update on your Snapdragon-powered Note 4 (SM-N910F), let us know if there’s any bugs or glitches in the comments below.
