A few photos have surfaced online of a front panel matching the description and dimensions of the rumored Xiaomi Max smartphone.
Is this a smartphone or tablet? The Xiaomi Max sports a super large 6.4-inch display, which is safe to say, a two-handed device. In the leaked shots that appear to be right off the production line, a person grips onto the massive device with one hand. The person’s hand barely reaches around the phone clearing indicating that this will be aimed at those wanting the largest smartphone available.
Taking a look at the exterior, the Xiaomi Max features razor-thin side bezels and sports off-screen capacitive keys in a row along the bottom. There’s no physical home button meaning that if a fingerprint scanner is included, it will be rear-mounted. This remains to be seen.
We’re expecting mostly high-end specs to debut on this one, which may or may not include the Snapdragon 820 and 4GB of RAM. No word on release date has been specified just yet, but signs point towards a possible announcement in late May or June. Hopefully we get more details soon.
