A CPU-Z screenshot has been recovered by Phone Arena from someone claiming to be a worker for Samsung. The screenshot gives us some details on what to expect for the Galaxy Note 6.
The model number that underwent the test was SM-N930, most presumably a model of Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Note 6. The screen measures 5.77-inches diagonally (slightly larger than the Galaxy Note 5) and boasts a QHD resolution. Shockingly, previous rumors suggesting 6GB of RAM would make the cut may turnout true. This variant is powered by Samsung’s very own Exynos 8890 SoC carrying 32GB of internal memory (15.5GB are usable). There’s been no word on expandability.
According to the tipster, the Galaxy Note 6 will feature a similar to design to that of its predecessor, the Galaxy Note 5. One minor difference could be in thickness, which is said to be slightly thicker to fit a larger battery capacity, 3700mAh to be exact. The phone may also take a page out of the Galaxy S7’s book and come with an IP68 certification for water and dust resistance. This would be a first for the Note series. Samsung is also said to be working closely with Google to board the handset with Android N. Let’s hope the expected early release isn’t too early for Google.
