YouTube users TechRax is giving the Galaxy S7 Edge his signature hammer and knife test in a new video.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge has been put through a couple of hefty torture tests, but none like this. Well, it isn’t actually a test, more like an excuse to beat a $900+ device to an inch of its life. And surprisingly, the Galaxy S7 Edge is able to take a few hits pretty well.
For the most part, the Galaxy S7 Edge is pretty durable. In another recent test, the device only shattered on a hard surface when dropped from head level. It’s also apparently able to take a few hits from a hammer without completely dying.
These torture tests are fun and all, and while they do show a measure of durability with the smartphone, it does nothing to highlight the important features of a smartphone. With that in mind, if you’re actually looking for some buying advice, one YouTube creator put together a camera shootout, pitting the Galaxy S7’s camera against the iPhone 6S’ camera. Suffice to say, it’s a much better test to watch for those that are seriously considering the device and want to see how the camera and other aspects perform.
