Ride For Kids: Trey Canard Joins as Industry Spokesperson
Ride For Kids Press Release: Trey Canard, leader of American Honda’s Team Honda HRC, is dedicated to winning on the AMA Supercross track. He’s also dedicated to making life better for children with brain tumors. Canard is the new national motorcycle industry spokesperson for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation’s Ride for Kids program. American Honda has been presenting sponsor of Ride for Kids since 1991. No. 41 recently filmed a Ride for Kids public service announcement in the team’s race shop in Torrance, Calif., with 11-year-old brain tumor survivor Dylan Linnehan. “I’m excited about this opportunity, and I’m excited about the future for these kids,” Canard said. The Oklahoma native, 25, has raced Hondas since he turned pro at age 16 in 2008, and he joined the Honda factory team in 2011. Canard has six career victories in the 450 class, and enjoyed the best season of his career thus far in 2015. “Trey is the perfect spokesperson for Ride for Kids because he has a huge heart,” said Mary O. Ratcliffe, vice president of marketing and communications for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation. “He exemplifies the best of motorcycling, just like Ride for Kids. On behalf of the 28,000 boys and girls in the U.S. who are diagnosed with a brain tumor, we salute Trey and American Honda for being a part of our mission to cure the kids.”
