Honda has just released two rather cryptic preview images of the company’s updated CB500F for 2016. This motorcycle, for those who don’t know, is the naked version of Honda’s trio of affordable 500cc streetbikes, and it has a comfortably upright riding position to go along with a super smooth parallel-twin engine that gets excellent fuel economy. No details were released about the specific updates for 2016, but based on the other 2016 Honda 500s we’ve already seen, look for this new CB500F, an easy-to-ride everyday machine, to have revised styling, an adjustable brake ever, damping adjusters on the fork, easier shifting, and possibly a smaller, lighter muffler. We’ll know for sure when the 2016 Honda CB500F makes its global debut at the
EICMA motorcycle show in Milan next week. If you can’t travel that far, the updated CB500F bike also will be on display at the Long Beach International Motorcycle Show in Southern California on November 20.
