The Bentley Bentayga First Edition has been revealed to a selection of high-wealth individuals in Los Angeles ahead of that city’s motor show.
Bentley is limiting production of the Bentayga First Edition to just 608 units worldwide based on the amount of metric horsepower at the car’s disposal.
Externally, the Bentayga First Edition is distinguished by Union Jack badging on the front doors, and unique 22-inch polished and painted alloy wheels.
On the inside, the limited edition model is fitted with yet more Union Jack badging, diamond in diamond quilted leather for the seat and door trim, contrast stitching, illuminated tread plates, and unique ambient lighting.
Under the skin, the Bentayga First Edition is no different to later, more plebeian versions of the SUV with a 447kW/900Nm 6.0-litre twin-turbo W12 beneath the hood.
The premium brand says that the Bentayga can do the 0-100km/h standard in 4.1 seconds and hit a top speed of 301km/h, making it, it’s claimed, the world’s fastest and most powerful SUV.
Each owner of a First Edition Bentayga will also be given one of three Beitling watches designed exclusively for Bentley: the Emergency, which includes a personal locator beacon; the Cockpit B50; and the Chronomat 38 that’s reportedly designed for women.
All three watches have a black mother-of-pearl dial and a rubber strap that’s been designed to mirror parts of the Bentayga’s interior. At a later date, these watches will become an available on the Bentayga’s options list.
